We don’t rise to the level of our expectations, we fall to the level of our training.

Our work utilizes and synthesizes the best in
actor training and development.

Over the past several decades, I’ve been extremely fortunate to have studied and trained with many of the finest, deepest, most accomplished teachers and innovators in our industry. This “theatrical cross-training” has afforded me the incredible opportunity to experience all of these approaches (from Meisner, to Method, to Adler, to Guskin, to Morris and more) up close and personal, and notice their inherent strengths, challenges, differences—and most importantly, where they agree.

Standing on the shoulders of their many accomplishments, through years of painstaking inquiry, trial and error, I’ve hit upon an integrated, fluid, organic way of working that includes the very best of their contributions, while adding innovations of my own. The result is a breakthrough in holistic actor training, a complete approach that meets the modern actor at any level of development, and one that I’m honored and proud to share with you.”

Classes at the Studio are divided into four parts: Instrumental Preparation, Technique, Script Interpretation and Scene & Role Study. Particular attention is applied to Characterization and how that character exists within the world of that particular story. Steeped in the techniques and principles of Strasberg, Adler and Meisner, while including our own innovations such as Script Inquiry®, Activating The Character Idea, The Task Exercise, The Relationship Process and The Map For Building the Role, we cultivate and practice a specific, fluid way of working particularly well-suited to the challenges of the modern actor.

"Living Authentically Within the World Of the Story" is the organizing principle of all the work. The process is highly individualized, adapting to each actors' particular strengths and challenges, guiding them on the road to greater truth, specificity and freedom.
